Our Services

Arrow Pharmacy has filled prescriptions from the same address on Farmington Avenue in Hartford since 1989 — long enough that many of our patients have had the same pharmacist for years, not a rotating cast behind the counter. That continuity is the practical advantage of an independent pharmacy over a chain: one location, one patient record, and a pharmacist who already knows your medication history before you finish explaining why you're calling.

What's included with every visit

Beyond dispensing prescriptions, every patient has access to a set of services a corporate chain counter typically doesn't offer at all, or charges for separately:

Our services

Five areas make up the core of what sets Arrow apart from a standard chain pharmacy counter:

Full details on each service, including how it works and how to get started, are one click away below. If you manage a chronic or complex condition, our Disease States Treated page and Medicine-on-Time adherence packaging are also worth a look — many patients combine those with the services on this page rather than treating them separately.

New to Arrow Pharmacy?

Switching pharmacies is usually simpler than patients expect. Call us with the name, dosage, and current pharmacy for each prescription you want to move, and we handle the transfer request directly with your previous pharmacy — you don't need to contact them yourself, and there's no fee for the transfer. If you're on multiple medications, that's also a good time to ask whether Medicine-on-Time packaging or free delivery would simplify things going forward.

We also help with the everyday questions that don't fit neatly into a single service: which over-the-counter product actually treats what you have, whether two medications you're taking are safe together, or what a lab value on a discharge paperwork means. Those conversations happen at the counter, free, as part of being your pharmacy rather than a checkout line.

Not sure which service fits your situation, or whether something not listed here is possible? Call (860) 522-9289 and we'll point you in the right direction — a two-minute phone call usually answers it faster than guessing from a services list.
